We Coordinate the Parts of Relocation That Usually Fall Between Providers
DigitalNomadInSpain.org combines North American document logistics with structured hand-offs to independent immigration, translation, tax, insurance and relocation professionals in Spain and Portugal.
Why We Built DigitalNomadInSpain.org
Moving from the United States or Canada to Spain or Portugal often requires several completely different systems to work together: North American criminal records and civil documents, apostille authorities, translations, consular or immigration procedures, and then the practical move itself.
That fragmentation is the problem we set out to solve. Our specialty is coordinating the North American document side—FBI/RCMP records, federal and state/provincial apostille routing, civil-document logistics, translation coordination and document timing—then organizing the hand-off to the professional responsible for the next stage.
We describe the model as a “general contractor” for relocation: one operational point of contact coordinates the moving pieces, while licensed professionals remain responsible for the legal, tax, insurance or regulated services within their own scope.

DigitalNomadInSpain.org and Tu Apostilla are brands operated by Borderless Business LLC. Tu Apostilla provides the underlying North American document-processing infrastructure used across our relocation work. DigitalNomadInSpain.org is the relocation-facing service that coordinates those document operations with the appropriate Spain- and Portugal-based professional support.
How the General Contractor Model Works
We do not pretend that one company should perform every regulated service. Instead, we coordinate the workflow and keep responsibilities clear.
1. North American Document Operations
Through our document infrastructure at Tu Apostilla, we coordinate FBI/RCMP records, civil documents, U.S. federal and state apostilles, Canadian federal/provincial apostilles, courier logistics and document tracking.
2. Translation Coordination
Translation requirements vary by destination and filing authority. For Spain, we can coordinate a MAEC-authorized Traductor Jurado where appropriate. Portugal follows different certification rules. We do not claim that one translation format is universally required in every jurisdiction.
3. Independent Immigration Counsel
Where legal services are part of the selected package, the completed document file is handed to independent licensed immigration counsel for eligibility advice, filing strategy, representation and government submissions within the lawyer’s engagement.
4. Relocation Partner Network
For clients who need broader support, we can coordinate introductions to independent real-estate, health-insurance, tax and other relocation professionals in Spain or Portugal. Their services and fees remain separate unless expressly included in writing.
What You Can Expect From Us
Our job is not to promise that a government authority will approve every document or application. Our job is to make the operational process clearer, better organized and easier to manage.
Clear Scope
We distinguish administrative document work from legal advice and tell you when a question needs to be handled by counsel or another regulated professional.
Jurisdiction-Specific Document Routing
U.S. federal documents, U.S. state records, Canadian federal documents and Canadian provincial records do not all follow the same apostille route. We map the correct authority before processing.
Current-Requirement Mindset
Immigration checklists, financial thresholds, criminal-record validity periods and appointment procedures can change. We plan around the current filing route rather than relying on one blanket rule for every client.
Accountability for Our Own Work
Our published Terms explain the service relationship, document-processing scope and remedy if a document is rejected because of a procedural processing error attributable to our team.
